Hi,

I am looking for a small twin engine plane with long range capability around
3,000 nm or more for FS2002pro,
it can be a piston, turbo-prop or small private jet, free if possible but i
can pay for it, if i have to.

Happy Hollidays!

If it doesn't have to be a "real" Aircraft try Chuck Dome's Atkinson AJ2,
available as Public Domain for FS2k2 and FS9. It is a fictional 6-seated
personal amphibian jet with a range of about 4000nm (if you don't put the
pedal to the metal ;-) ), a high cruise speed and low landing speed.

It's a bit difficult to land, for it has a very low drag factor, but with a
good hand at the airbrake this will not be a problem for the more
experienced aviator. (At last, if you can handle the AJ2 after hours of
training, you _will_ be an experienced aviator ;-) )

Try http://www.fsjets.com/FS_00_Atkinson.htm for the FS2k2-download.

Many happy landings!

Tom.

Does such a plane exist in real life?? 3000 nm is 3450 miles (approx)

What are you hoping to do with this plane? You might be able to work with a
1500nm range plane with one stop for fuel. Otherwise, the Spirit of St.
Louis comes to mind, though its a single engine plane, no autopilot, and
difficult to fly.

Well I wondered about this briefly and came up with the following thoughts.

If you are looking for a lightweight twin I have recently bought the Cessna
310 from:

http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/Previews/C310/7CM_Info.htm

It only has a range of 1500 or so miles but not bad for this sort of
machine.

The next thought was the stock Learjet 45, although from a quick search on
the web they seem to top out at around 2100nm, although I'm sure others in
the group will point to longer range versions.

The search then took me to my initial thought, the Boeing 737NG as stated
here:

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/737family/pf/pf_ng_back.html

I don't know where your planning to fly, or if it would accommodate the 737,
but it's a great way to fly there in style. If you go in something like the
PMDG 737 which is my personal favourite you can do some serious flying with
all of the accurately modelled systems. I know it is outside of your
original spec, but they are now selling these things as large private jets.
I saw a lawyer with one on Discovery Wings the other night.

One final thought, just pause and fill the fuel mid flight as this will also
work.

Regards

Geoff

I managed to fly the stock Lear 45 2,400nm, logbook time of 5.6 hours.
But most of that was done at FL450 with a decent tailwind most of the
way. No cheating, r/w weather, it was from AYPY-WIII. I still had
just over 500lbs of fuel left on board. Five pax and limited cargo
made a total payload weight of about 1,900lbs.

Abacus made the Cessna Conquest in their Corporate Aircraft add-on
which has a range of around 2100 nm, but nowhere near 3000nm. best I
could find. I flew it around the world, including from Hilo to KSFO
so it's capable of crossing the pond. Also flew it from St. John to
the Azores with fuel to spare as well as St. John to Prestwick
non-stop.

Ok

I have found a Bombardier Global express small private jet free with a range
of 6,000 nm,
and it is the most hi-tech private jet on the market (and in the sim (21
meg))
every hi-tech instrument work even the on board radar and hud display.
except the pan view, it seem not finish.

the perfect plane for me if you want to go to Hawaii

Hi,

I wouldn't speak of a small private jet when talking about the Global
Express. This is one of the most luxurious expensive Business Jets one can
buy for money... think about 35 to 45 million dollars... =:-D

Just as an aside - For a real long range plane you can't beat Dick
Rutan's Voyager.
That's the one than circled the globe with 2 people on board nonstop
on about 3100 kg (7100 lbs) of fuel back in 1986.

For details see:
http://www.nasm.edu/nasm/aero/aircraft/rutanvoy.htm

But - I don't think we have one for the sim :((

Oh yes there is! Must be on www.avsim.com, for it appeared on Bear's Picks
for FS2002.
