As for Dolby, in the header it is statistically impossible for a
different computer to come up with EXACTLY the same PATH. You would be
more likely to win the powerball lottery than to have that happen.

You were caught in your little game of trying to cause trouble and lay
the blame on me. Something you continue to do. People have caught on to
who you are Mellor, a sad little man who is nothing and can't stand it.

A little tip folks: Because there are millions of users of most news
clients the X-Newsreader header is almost useless to determine the
identity of a poster. Also, it's easy to have multiple newsreaders
installed on your computer.

The path (a list of the servers and the order the message passed
through them to get to you) is a much more reliable method to
determine where a message came from.. Not fool proof but much more
unique and therefore more reliable than the newsreader.

Whoever Dolby is, he knows a bit about fudging headers but it doesn't
take a genius to figure that out. BUT! Take note that fudging the path
is probably impossible . . . as far as I know.

Here is a list of some of the culprits that you mentioned and the path
that their messages take to get from their computer to mine.

The path is read from right to left like Arabic or Chinese. If it's
too difficult to read in your newsreader, you can copy and paste into
Notepad. Servers are delimited by the BANG character (!)

I use Giganews as indicated by the first server on the left E.g.
"Path: border1.nntp.dca1.giganews.com!nntp.giganews.com". The path on
messages that you receive will indicate the newsserver that you use
for posting/receiving.

Of the 5 that I checked, Nick's is the only exact match. That wouldn't
convict you but it might be sufficient for a search warrant.
