I am trying to install FSX into my PC. Everything is going well until
such message appears at final stage " Publishing product stage". It is
not an error message but it takes too much time. Meantime, i can see
that computer is erasing (uninstalling) all setup files. What is this
mystery? I am using legal product and has a official Product Key

Just built a Core 2 Duo and mine's doing something similar right now.
Getting a 1935 error and it's rolling back the install. This very
second I'm copying the files to another directory and see how I go. :\

So far haven't found anything definitive to fix this problem. Tried
all the msxml updates. :\

Cheers,
Rod.

Thanks Ken,

Yeah, I've tried most of those. Copying did the trick but I couldn't
get TrackIR to recognise FSX running at all (while I initially had
problems getting it to work on my old machine, it never had problems
actually recognising that FSX was loaded). So the final portion of the
install being bypassed by copying the files to another directory could
have caused an issue.

Found a reference to Ad-aware causing this issue so I'm going to
uninstall it for now and try another install.

Cheers,
Rod.

It was Ad-Aware. Installed now. Now to try and untangle the ins and
outs of TIR again. :\

Now mine is working, have you tried all the msxml updates from
Microsoft, shutdown all spyware and virus checkers and made sure
nothing else is running during install?

Cheers,
Rod.

Hello Rod,

I can agree with you that program can be installed according to your
instructions. But i have some doubts how FSX might work well in my PC,
Pentium4, WinXP. So, FS2004 is good enough for some landing practice
with jumbo jets. Thanks for your interest...
