Hello everybody,
I have lost my software for my sidewinder force feedback 2 for XP. I
wonder if there is anybody who knows how to get it. Thanks for your
help!
Best regards, Jonathan.

If it's the drivers and the Game Controller software you want. you're in
luck.
Microsoft's web site has these.

If it's the free games that came with it, I guess you'll have to buy those
again.

Neil,

Are you sure that the game controller software is suitable for FF2 & WinXP?
On MS's site they mention several other Sidewinder devices EXCEPT FF2 and
specifically Windows 97 and 98, but NOT XP.
I should like to have more control over my FF2's behaviour than just the
standard calibration under Windows XP but I do not dare to jeopardize my
Windows installation with possibly incompatible software. Do you actually
run it under WinXP?

Fritz, I have Sidewinder Game Controller software v4.0 running both under
Win2000 SP4 and XP Pro SP1 - no problems here with FFB2 (USB).
Suggest you follow the install instructions as per manual (install s/ware
1st, connect USB later)

Cheers, Oscar

Yes, this has been reported a number of times in this group. Problem seems
to be that v4.0 is not on their download site, my guess is that v3.x applies
to the older MS sticks incl FFB1 but not FFB2 (just a guess). Got 2 CD's
with the my FFB2, but only the 1st is required to install.

Hello Oscar,

is it possible that you can provide a download for Sidewinder Software 4.0?
Perhaps on a free website?

Greetings,
Chris

Unfortunately it's illegal to provide a download for MS software, suggest
you go to MS direct and ask for replacement disks.

Oscar, hardware drivers are freely available on the web and can be
downloaded from almost any manufacturer's or mirror site.

I'll see if I can find one for the Sidewinder.
