Maybe a stupid question, but what is FS9????
I thought Microsoft went from FS98 via FS2000 and FS2002 to FS2004. But
where should FS9 be placed?

Thanx

FS9 is the Internal name.. fs2002 was fs8, fs2000 was fs7. people
simply don;t use it. as to why is being used now, don't know but it
sounds cool

It's being called FS9 now because the folder for the sim on your computer is
named "FS9" when you intall it. But for 2002 that folder was called
"FS2002". Don't know why Microsoft made the switch.

FS9 is the 1993th version before FS2002 ... retro-games rule these
days ...

FS9 has 1 bit color, 10x8 pixes resolution and does not use pixel
shaders ...

the minimum hardware requirement is an INTEL 4004 with 108 kHz,
keyboard is optional ...

FS9 is delivered on two punch cards ...

Justin Tyme recently released an add-on which introduces two
additional elevation points to the game so you can fly over a hill!

LAGO is planning to do a new york scenery ... it contains the Empire
state building ...

simflyer's will release KJFK - the punch-card comes with two lines
that symbolize the runways!

...

boy that was a lame post ... good night to all!!!

when one buys a legal copy FS2004 and runs the install program, M$ defaults
the installation to a folder named: Flight Simulator 9
hence the moniker FS9 . . . makes sense to me
