Whoever Dolby is, he knows a bit about fudging headers, but it doesn't
take a genius to figure that out. BUT! Take note that fudging the path
is probably impossible . . . as far as I know.

Here is a list of some of the culprits that you mentioned and the path
that their messages take to get from their computer to mine.

The path is read from right to left like Arabic or Chinese. If it's
too difficult to read in your newsreader, you can copy and paste into
Notepad. Servers are delimited by the BANG character (!)

I use Giganews as indicated by the first server on the left, E.g.
"Path: border1.nntp.dca1.giganews.com!nntp.giganews.com". The path on
messages that you receive will indicate the news server that you use
for posting/receiving.

Of the 5 that I checked, Nick's is the only exact match. That wouldn't
convict you, but it might be sufficient for a search warrant.

Scientists Find "Man-made Climate Change Doesn't Exist In Practice"

A new scientific study could bust wide open deeply flawed fundamental
assumptions underlying controversial climate legislation and initiatives
such as the Green New Deal, namely, the degree to which 'climate change'
is driven by natural phenomena vs. man-made issues measured as carbon
footprint. Scientists in Finland found "practically no anthropogenic
[man-made] climate change" after a series of studies.

“During the last hundred years the temperature increased about 0.1°C
because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C”, the
Finnish researchers bluntly state in one among a series of papers.

This has been collaborated by a team at Kobe University in Japan, which
has furthered the Finnish researchers' theory: "New evidence suggests
that high-energy particles from space known as galactic cosmic rays
affect the Earth's climate by increasing cloud cover, causing an
'umbrella effect'," the just published study has found, a summary of
which has been released in the journal Science Daily. The findings are
hugely significant given this 'umbrella effect' — an entirely natural
occurrence — could be the prime driver of climate warming, and not
man-made factors.

The scientists involved in the study are most concerned with the fact
that current climate models driving the political side of debate, most
notably the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) climate
sensitivity scale, fail to incorporate this crucial and potentially
central variable of increased cloud cover.

"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has discussed the
impact of cloud cover on climate in their evaluations, but this
phenomenon has never been considered in climate predictions due to the
insufficient physical understanding of it," comments Professor Hyodo in
Science Daily. "This study provides an opportunity to rethink the impact
of clouds on climate. When galactic cosmic rays increase, so do low
clouds, and when cosmic rays decrease clouds do as well, so climate
warming may be caused by an opposite-umbrella effect."

In their related paper, aptly titled, “No experimental evidence for the
significant anthropogenic [man-made] climate change”, the Finnish
scientists find that low cloud cover "practically" controls global
temperatures but that “only a small part” of the increased carbon
dioxide concentration is anthropogenic, or caused by human activity.

The following is a key bombshell section in one of the studies conducted
by Finland's Turku University team:

We have proven that the GCM-models used in IPCC report AR5 cannot
compute correctly the natural component included in the observed global
temperature. The reason is that the models fail to derive the influences
of low cloud cover fraction on the global temperature. A too small
natural component results in a too large portion for the contribution of
the greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. That is why 6 J. KAUPPINEN AND
P. MALMI IPCC represents the climate sensitivity more than one order of
magnitude larger than our sensitivity 0.24°C. Because the anthropogenic
portion in the increased CO2 is less than 10 %, we have practically no
anthropogenic climate change. The low clouds control mainly the global
temperature.

This raises urgent questions and central contradictions regarding
current models which politicians and environmental groups across the
globe are using to push radical economic changes on their countries'
populations.

Conclusions from both the Japanese and Finnish studies strongly suggest,
for example, that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's "drastic measures to
cut carbon emissions" which would ultimately require radical legislation
changes to "remake the U.S. economy" would not only potentially bankrupt
everyone but simply wouldn't even work, at least according to the new
Finnish research team findings.

To put AOC's "drastic measures" in perspective — based entirely on the
fundamental assumption of the monumental and disastrous impact of human
activity on the climate — consider the following conclusions from the
Finnish studies:

“During the last hundred years the temperature increased about 0.1°C
because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C.”

Which leads the scientists to state further:

“Because the anthropogenic portion in the increased carbon dioxide is
less than 10 percent, we have practically no anthropogenic climate
change,” the researchers concluded.

And the team in Japan has called for a total reevaluation of current
climate models, which remain dangerously flawed for dismissing a crucial
variable:

This study provides an opportunity to rethink the impact of clouds on
climate. When galactic cosmic rays increase, so do low clouds, and when
cosmic rays decrease clouds do as well, so climate warming may be caused
by an opposite-umbrella effect. The umbrella effect caused by galactic
cosmic rays is important when thinking about current global warming as
well as the warm period of the medieval era.

Failure to account for this results in the following, according to the
one in the series of studies: "The IPCC climate sensitivity is about one
order of magnitude too high, because a strong negative feedback of the
clouds is missing in climate models."

"If we pay attention to the fact that only a small part of the increased
CO2 concentration is anthropogenic, we have to recognize that the
anthropogenic climate change does not exist in practice," the
researchers conclude.

Though we doubt the ideologues currently pushing to radically remake the
American economy through what ends up being a $93 trillion proposal
(according to one study) — including AOC's call for a whopping 70% top
tax rate — will carefully inquire of this new bombshell scientific
confirmation presented in the new research, we at least hope the US
scientific community takes heed before it's too late in the cause of
accurate and authentic science that would stave off irreparable economic
disaster that would no doubt ripple across the globe, adding to both
human and environmental misery.

And "too late" that is, not for some mythical imminent or near-future
"global warming Armageddon" as the currently in vogue highly politicized
"science" of activists and congress members alike claims.

But go ahead asshats. Pay more money. Only sheep believe the government
when they tell you, "If you just send us enough money, we can stop
climate change".

On the same day last week that Greta Thunberg made an impassioned speech
to the United Nations about her fears of a climate emergency, a group of
500 prominent scientists and professionals, led by the CLINTEL
co-founder Guus Berkhout, sent this registered letter to the United
Nations Secretary-General stating that there is no climate emergency and
climate policies should be designed to benefit the lives of people.

scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have the
honor to address to Your Excellencies the attached European Climate
Declaration, for which the signatories to this letter are the national
ambassadors. The general-circulation models of climate on which
international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose.

Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering
of trillions of dollars on the basis of results from such immature
models. Current climate policies pointlessly and grievously undermine
the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to
affordable, reliable electrical energy. We urge you to follow a climate
policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern
for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation

Here are the specific points about climate change highlighted in the letter:

1 Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming.
2. Warming is far slower than predicted.
3. Climate policy relies on inadequate models.
4. CO2 is not a pollutant. It is a plant food that is essential to all
life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for
nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted
growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture,
increasing the yields of crops worldwide.
5. Global warming has not increased natural disasters.
6. Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities.
7. There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic.

What about that “consensus” and “settled science” about climate change
we always hear about? How can there be a consensus when there’s a global
network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and
professionals in climate and related fields who challenge the “settled
science”?

Actually, challenging the consensus among the scientific community is
nothing new, but those the voices of those challenging the consensus are
always drowned out by the tsunami of climate hysteria from the climate
alarmists. For example, in 2012 a group of more than 125 scientists sent
an open letter to the United Nations warning that scientific evidence
refuted UN Secretary-General’s Ban Ki-Moon repeated assertions on
weather and climate. Those warnings of climate hysteria unsupported by
the scientific evidence were ignored in 2012, just like the letter from
the 500 prominent scientists and professionals will be ignored in 2019.
In other words, it’s “deja vu all over again.”

Is the climate changing? Of course. The climate always has changed and
always will.

Is the earth getting warmer? We should hope so for at least two reasons:
First, the world emerged from the Little Ice Age in the 19th century, so
it would be worrisome if it weren’t getting warmer. Second, all the
history indicates that humans thrive more during warmer periods than
colder ones. It is likely, though, that earth has warmed less than many
official temperature records indicate for a variety of reasons,
including: few long-term records from either the southern hemisphere or
the 71 percent of the planet that is covered by water; distortions from
the urban heat-island effect and other faulty siting (e.g., temperature
sensors next to asphalt parking lots, etc.; the decline in weather
station reports from Siberia after the fall of the Soviet government;
the arbitrarily ceasing to include measurements from northern latitudes
and high elevations, etc.) The most accurate measures of temperature
come from satellites. Since the start of these measurements in 1979,
they show minor fluctuations and an insignificant net change in global
temperature.

But a growing contingent of scientists and economists call into question
the climate change dogma, saying that the temperature data show no clear
recent warming and noting that the benefits of global warming, if it
existed, might be greater than the costs. This split will define the
political debate in the near term.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration may have a boring
name, but it has a very important job: It measures U.S. temperatures.
Unfortunately, it seems to be a captive of the global warming religion.
Its data are fraudulent.

What do we mean by fraudulent? How about this: NOAA has made repeated
"adjustments" to its data, for the presumed scientific reason of making
the data sets more accurate.

Nothing wrong with that. Except, all their changes point to one thing —
lowering previously measured temperatures to show cooler weather in the
past, and raising more recent temperatures to show warming in the recent
present.

This creates a data illusion of ever-rising temperatures to match the
increase in CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere since the mid-1800s, which
global warming advocates say is a cause-and-effect relationship. The
more CO2, the more warming.

But the actual measured temperature record shows something different:
There have been hot years and hot decades since the turn of the last
century, and colder years and colder decades. But the overall measured
temperature shows no clear trend over the last century, at least not one
that suggests runaway warming.

That is, until the NOAA's statisticians "adjust" the data. Using complex
statistical models, they change the data to reflect not reality, but
their underlying theories of global warming. That's clear from a simple
fact of statistics: Data generate random errors, which cancel out over
time. So by averaging data, the errors mostly disappear.

*Alarmist Assertion* #1

“Bats Drop from the Sky – In 2014, a scorching summer heat wave caused
more than 100,000 bats to literally drop dead and fall from the sky in
Queensland, Australia.”

*The Facts*

Global warming alarmists’ preferred electricity source – wind power –
kills nearly 1 million bats every year (to say nothing of the more than
500,000 birds killed every year) in the United States alone. This
appalling death toll occurs every year even while wind power produces
just 3% of U.S. electricity. Ramping up wind power to 10, 20, or 30% of
U.S. electricity production would likely increase annual bat kills to
10-to-30 million every year. Killing 30 million bats every year in
response to dubious claims that global warming might once in a great
while kill 100,000 bats makes no sense.

Just as importantly, alarmists present no evidence that global warming
caused the summer heat wave in a notoriously hot desert near the
equator. To the contrary, climate change theory and objective data show
our recent global warming is occurring primarily in the winter, toward
the poles, and at night.

Australia’s highest recorded temperature occurred more than half a
century ago, and only two of Australia’s seven states have set their
all-time temperature record during the past 40 years. Indeed,
Queensland’s 2014 heat wave paled in comparison to the 1972 heat wave
that occurred 42 years of global warming ago. If global warming caused
the 2014 Queensland heat wave, why wasn’t it as severe as the 1972
Queensland heat wave? Blaming every single summer heat wave or extreme
weather event on global warming is a stale and discredited tactic in the
alarmist playbook. Objective science proves extreme weather events such
as hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, and droughts have become less
frequent and less severe as a result of the Earth’s recent modest warming.

*Alarmist Assertion* #2

“Lyme Disease Spreads” – Warmer temperatures are contributing to the
range expansion and severity of tick-borne Lyme disease.”

*The Facts*

Lyme Disease is much more common in northern, cooler regions of the
United States than in southern, warmer regions. Asserting, without any
supporting data or evidence, that a disease that prospers in cool
climates will become more prevalent as a result of global warming defies
objective data and common sense.

*Alarmist Assertion* #3

“National Security Threatened – The impacts of climate change are
expected to act as a ‘threat multiplier’ in many of the world’s most
unstable regions, exacerbating droughts and other natural disasters as
well as leading to food, water and other resource shortages that may
spur mass migrations.”

*The Facts*

The alarmists’ asserted national security threat depends on assertions
that (1) global warming is causing a reduction in food and water
supplies and (2) migrations of people to places with more food and water
will increase risks of military conflict. Objective facts refute both
assertions.

*Alarmist Assertion* #4

“Sea Levels Rising – Warmer temperatures are causing glaciers and polar
ice sheets to melt, increasing the amount of water in the world’s seas
and oceans.”

*The Facts*

The pace of sea level rise remained relatively constant throughout the
20th century, even as global temperatures gradually rose. There has
similarly been no increase in the pace of sea level rise in recent
decades. Utilizing 20th century technologies, humans effectively adapted
to global sea level rise. Utilizing 21st century technologies, humans
will be even better equipped to adapt to global sea level rise.

Also, the alarmist assertion that polar ice sheets are melting is simply
false. Although alarmists frequently point to a modest recent shrinkage
in the Arctic ice sheet, that decline has been completely offset by ice
sheet expansion in the Antarctic. Cumulatively, polar ice sheets have
not declined at all since NASA satellite instruments began precisely
measuring them 35 years ago.

*Alarmist Assertion* #5

“Allergies Worsen – Allergy sufferers beware: Climate change could cause
pollen counts to double in the next 30 years. The warming temperatures
cause advancing weed growth, a bane for allergy sufferers.”

*The Facts*

Pollen is a product and mechanism of plant reproduction and growth. As
such, pollen counts will rise and fall along with plant health and
vegetation intensity. Any increase in pollen will be the result of a
greener biosphere with more plant growth.

Indeed, NASA satellite instruments have documented a spectacular
greening of the Earth, with foliage gains most prevalent in previously
arid, semi-desert regions. For people experiencing an increase in
vegetation in previously barren regions, this greening of the Earth is
welcome and wonderful news. For global warming alarmists, however, a
greener biosphere is terrible news and something to be opposed.

*Alarmist Assertion* #6

“Beetles Destroy Iconic Western Forests – Climate change has sent
tree-killing beetles called mountain pine beetles into overdrive. Under
normal conditions those beetles reproduce just once annually, but the
warming climate has allowed them to churn out an extra generation of new
bugs each year.”

*The Facts*

Alarmists claim warmer winters are causing an increase in pine beetle
populations. This assertion is thoroughly debunked by objective,
real-world data.

*Alarmist Assertion* #7

“Canada: The New America – ‘Lusher’ vegetation growth typically
associated with the United States is now becoming more common in Canada,
scientists reported in a 2012 Nature Climate Change study.”

*The Facts*

Only global warming alarmists would claim that lusher vegetation and
more abundant plant life is a bad thing.

“Economic Consequences – The costs associated with climate change rise
along with the temperatures. Severe storms and floods combined with

Severe storms, floods and agricultural losses may cost a great deal of
money, but such extreme weather events – and their resulting costs – are
dramatically declining as the Earth modestly warms. Accordingly, EDF’s
asserted economic costs are actually economic benefits.

“Infectious Diseases Thrive – The World Health Organization reports that
outbreaks of new or resurgent diseases are on the rise and in more
disparate countries than ever before, including tropical illnesses in
once cold climates.”

*The Facts*

Outbreaks of “new or resurgent diseases” are occurring precisely because
governments have caved in to environmental activist groups like EDF and
implemented their anti-science agendas. For example, DDT had all but
eliminated malaria in the United States and on the global stage during
the mid-20th century. However, environmental activists championed false
environmental accusations against DDT and dramatically reduced use of
the life-saving mosquito killer throughout much of the world. As a
result, malaria has reemerged with a vengeance and millions of people
die every year as a result.

“Shrinking Glaciers – In 2013, an iceberg larger than the city of
Chicago broke off the Pine Island Glacier, the most important glacier of

Calling attention to anecdotal incidents of icebergs breaking off the
Antarctic ice sheet, while deliberately ignoring the overall growth of
the Antarctic ice sheet, is a misleading and favorite tactic of global
warming alarmists. Icebergs break off the Antarctic ice sheet every
year, with or without global warming, particularly in the Antarctic summer.
