Hello all,

I have FSX on one computer and FS2004 on another. I can't get them to
multiplayer or communicate to eachother over the LAN.

If I try both computers with FS2004, not a problem.

Is there an issue with multiplaying between FSX and FS2004 over a LAN?
Router firewall and software firewall are not the problem.

Any ideas welcome.

Steve

I solved the problem by installing FSHost on a separate machine, that
acts as a file server in our home LAN. This way both players connect to
the same session using FS9 or FSX. It actually reduced the jittering of
the other player's plane when flying at a close distance, the effect
disappears when the distance between planes increases. You can also
centralize the weather conditions for both players, etc... Very handy
and freeware.
